At The Base Barnes Restaurant, the menu follows the natural pace of the day. Tucked just off Barnes High Street, mornings begin with freshly baked pastries and relaxed breakfasts through to casual lunch dishes, before the setting gradually shifts into a more intimate destination for evening dining.
As the atmosphere evolves, familiar favourites make way for richer plates and vibrant pan-Asian influences. Fragrant curries, prawn laksa, black cod and delicate gyoza sit beside comforting classics, creating a selection suited to everything from a quick afternoon pause to unhurried suppers shared around the table.
At the heart of the experience is our open kitchen, where sauces are prepared from scratch, ingredients are handled with care and each service is guided by craftsmanship and attention to detail. From daytime through to dinner, our chefs bring movement, warmth and a quiet sense of theatre to the setting, shaping an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and quietly refined.

We work with trusted local butchers and suppliers, choosing high-quality, organic and seasonal ingredients wherever possible. You’ll find Goldstein smoked salmon, carefully selected meats and fresh produce throughout the menu, with thoughtful sourcing remaining at the heart of every dish.

All-day dining designed to be shared, savoured and enjoyed throughout the day. The Base Barnes Restaurant menus move from relaxed breakfasts and lighter daytime dishes to generous mains, whether paired with a glass of wine or enjoyed as a leisurely meal in their own right.
As the atmosphere shifts into the evening, dishes such as gyoza, burgers, fragrant curries and black cod sit alongside familiar comforts and bolder flavours. Prepared with care and rooted in the daily rhythm of the kitchen, the menu is shaped for different moments, from a quiet morning coffee to relaxed evening gatherings under softer light.
