The Base London Barnes is an all-day space that truly comes into its own in the evening.
Tucked just off Barnes High Street, the day begins with in-house roasted coffee, fresh pastries, and a relaxed breakfast and lunch offering. It’s an easy, familiar rhythm, one that carries through the week.
From Thursday to Saturday, The Base shifts after dark. The atmosphere softens, becoming more intimate and thoughtful, well-suited to evenings that call for something a little more special.
Dinner sits at the heart of the experience. A curated pan-Asian menu brings together bold flavours and refined execution across carefully composed dishes, from duck pancakes and prawn laksa to black cod and weeping tiger beef. Each plate is designed to be enjoyed at its own pace, whether it’s a midweek catch-up or a more intimate dinner for two.
A thoughtfully selected wine list complements the menu, from crisp Gavi di Gavi to British sparkling Everflyht and elegant New Zealand Pinot Noir, ideal for settling in and staying a while.
Open daily until 5pm, with evenings from Thursday to Saturday until 10pm, The Base offers a warm, understated setting for everything from morning coffee to a more memorable night out in Barnes.
